Arin and David’s Honeymoon Registry
We will be traveling to Ireland and England in May 2010. Our iternary is definitly a work in progress and not set in stone, so if you have suggestions for us, Let us know!!
This is our idea so far…
Our travels begin in Shannon, Ireland. We will be renting a car and spending 7 days exploring the Irish countryside. From Shannon, we will drive north and visit the Cliffs of Mohr. Next we will drive south to Killarney. The area has a large national park and Ireland’s largets mountain (I think it is more like a hill). We plan to spend some time relaxing in the quaint town.
Next we will drive east to Cork, where we plan to cook up some fun by taking a class at the Ballymaloe Cookery School. We would also like to see the fabled tourist trap, Blarney Castle. After a few days of fun, we will head to Waterford to visit the picturesque port and crystal factory.
From there, we will drive the the relaxing town of Inistioge before starting our journey to the big city of Dublin. We plan to visit the Guinness Brewery, Old Jameson Distillery… and hopefully do some things that do not involve alcohol.
Wait, the fun isn’t over yet, from Dublin we will hop on a flight to London where we will spend 3 nights in the company of the queen having tea and crumpets.
No really, once in London we plan to do all of the most touristy things we possibly can, ride a double decker bus, take pictures in phone booths - I (Arin) have a great affinity for these - mess with the guards at the Tower of London, you name it. We will also make sure to take lots of pictures of anything that says “Baynard” as a lot of possible family history is located in London.
Once our bellies are full of fish and chips, we will be flying back home exhausted and happy, following what we hope to be the best time of our lives.
Fun in the Emerald Isle
Ireland Heritage Card (2 of 2 gifts available)
$ 30.00
Unlimited Free Admission to many of Ireland’s public historical sites.
Visit to the Cliffs of Moher
$ 50.00
Most Irish tourist attractions are quite cheap in comparison to what we are used to in Florida ($75 to see a whale swim around), for that reason we are not listing many of them on our registery. However, the Cliffs of Moher is one of the most expensive and a site not to be missed. The price includes parking, admission, and lunch in the cafe (What a deal!)
Cooking Class at the Ballymaloe Cookery School (2 of 2 gifts available)
$ 60.00
1/2 day classes range in topic anywhere from Pizza to sushi.

I read that Abbey Tavern, just outside of Dublin, is a great place to visit for a 4-course meal and nightly Irish entertainment. (I listen to everything Frommer’s says).

Night in the Fielding Hotel, London (11 of 12 gifts remaining)
$ 50.00
One of London’s more eccentric hotels, this rickety walk-up is cramped, quirky, and quaint, and an enduring favorite of some. Named after novelist Henry Fielding of Tom Jones fame, who lived in Broad Court, the hotel lies on a pedestrian street still lined with 19th-century gas lamps. The Royal Opera House is across the street, and the pubs, shops, and restaurants of lively Covent Garden are just beyond the front door.
